Clay1
Congrats on the nice new gun Julien. Some tuned mags and you are all ready for the new season. Good shooting to you. Rick
Julien Boit
Thanks Rick, I'm planning to add a little touch of cosmetics by polishing the sides of the slide. I saw Mike Voigt's pistol at World Shoot in Ecuador, and I found this look so cool that I decided to make mine like this. As for the mags, they are ready to rock ! Skywalker
As for the mags, they are ready to rock ! That's why you've been so quiet for so long... BTW, strange matrimony: wasn't STI Eagle supposed to feature a short dustcover, and Edge the long one? I also seem to spot Tru-Grip on it, do I? Clay1
Make sure to post pictures when you do your magic to the gun Julien. Bon chance, mon amie. (That's about all I remember from 4 years of French in college - besides that was over 20 years ago).
Julien Boit
Luca : Yep, that is a TruGrip , and the feel is really very good. I think I'm gonna put some on all my pistols. The Eagle is , in its basic configuration, a short dust cover pistol. But there are a lots of options available, including long and wide frame, unique slide and tri top slide. Rick: Thanks, the right word is "ami". If you add the "e" , it's for a girl
DMH
Are you removing the front strap checkering before applying the grip tape?

Julien Boit
DMH: No I didn't but I do round up a bit the corners. Especially where the front strap meets the sides. Under the trigger guard of course and around the mag catch. Tightloop: I'll do my best

Clay1
Is she running good with the newly finished upper? I'm not sure if it is hard chromed or not, but it sure looks very nice.
Julien Boit
Clay1 : The pistol is only blued. I just rubbed the finish on each side of the slide. It runs as well as before, maybe more
