Merlin Orr
I have done some research and have discovered these new generation firearms - SWG Wike Rifles. I do think that not only is the mile shot to the tomato sized target is quite likely a feat that could be accomplished with only minimal training with these new generation weapons. If you read the stats I do believe you may just agree on this guy's claim...

concrete
New to the forums so hello everybody. I knew someday I would figure out what has been happening to my tomato crop. Thought it was animals but turns out it was the darn snipers again.
John Dunn
I've hit Larues at a mile (1,800 yds to be precise) with a .300 RUM rail gun. After a couple of sighters to dope the wind I'd say the hit probability was about 10% with my outfit. A tomato is considerably smaller than a Larue. Larry White
Comeon Paul, I'm suprised you dont know that. A Larue is a highly modified tomato, made of steel that resets itself. Bland taste, limited food value.-----Larry
Larry White
John, is there any chance that the more of that 300 RUM is involved the futher away those larues get?-----Larry
mpolans
Yeah, and he probably trained Carlos Hathcock too. I knew a guy that claimed to have been Carlos' partner in Vietnam. Yeah...right. Didn't the main guy Hathcock was paired with end up KIA over there? One guy I worked for claimed to have worked with Hathcock. Turns out, he was telling the truth. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Edward James "Jim" Land (USMC Major, retired)!
Huston in Austin
What the hell is a Laure??? http://www.laruetactical.com/laruetargets/ A machine shop in central Texas builds a self resetting target. The military seems to like them alot. The owner is a good machinist and has a lot of good ideas for products but isn't the easiest to deal with. The Larue is roughly 11x16". You can look at the One Mile Club gallery at D&L Sports Edited February 13, 2006 by John Dunn
