9x23 Brass

Recommended Posts

I was given a box of brass at the range the other day from someone that said they had 38 super/supercomp brass that they picked up from the range that failed case gauging after being sized.  Upon looking at the brass it appears that the majority of the brass is stamped 9 super comp or 9x23 comp which is the same to my knowledge.  Can this brass be used or is it useless due to being undersized by the 38 super dies removing the 9x23 taper?  I was wondering if I could just roll size it using a 38 super roll sizer and shoot it like 38 super.

Thanks

Robbie

You end up with the back end that can't be sized being too large.  It'll work in some Supercomp chambers but it's not the best plan.

That was what I was thinking.  I might just load a few to see how they work in my 38SC and if they work then load them for practice and leave them, if not then just pitch them in the trash.
