  1. Right, and i too am waiting on the commander. My question is: do any of these other Bluetooth timers sync with PractiScore?
  2. You need an A5 tube to run the 5020 buffer.
  3. I have used nothing but small rifle primers in pcc’s. Don’t remember ever having a light strike. JP trigger with light springs And CCI srp.
  4. Not necessary. Under the factory thumbhole stock is a multi position tube, which the magpul stock will fit on. the gun seems to handle better with the stock slid in 1 or 2 positions. For me at least.
  5. Cannot speak for the OP, however I’m also running the ELF trigger. Have not had any light strikes.
  6. That’s how I do it. Magazine seats just fine.
  7. Preordered one this morning. Release date is 15 January. I’ll update as soon I receive it. It has to be better than the factory trigger.
  8. Probably both. the sight can be drifted to correct for windage. As for elevation you will either need a taller front sight, or A lower rear. I had the same problem even with the shortest rear sight. Someone (Patrick Kelley, I believe) posted about filing the V notch deeper with a rat tail file. So that’s what I did. Had to file it down flush with the rib.
  9. I use a holosun 510c on my VR80. It has a circle dot reticle. Actually you can switch it between circle dot, dot only, or circle only. It’s solar powered, and or battery. Auto off / shake awake is also nice. Battery life is something crazy, like 50,000 hours. I had a spitfire....... didn’t care for it. It always looked like more than 1x. Holosun is a far better optic, in my opinion.
  10. I believe so. I contacted him in July. Message him on Facebook/instagram.
  11. I did. Also rounded the back of the 2 tabs that fit into the upper. Before I did this it would occasionally stub a shell into one of the tabs. Which deformed the end of the shell and caused FTF. So far no more FTF. This mod also makes disassembly easier. The rounded tabs allow the upper to pivot on the front pin, like a standard ar15.
  12. The VR-80 buffer tube is commercial, you will have to replace it with a mil spec tube.
  13. I removed the bolt hold open parts from all my mags. With said parts in place the mags would not drop free. I didn’t see the benefit of LRBHO when I had to pull the empty mag out. Mags seat fine fully loaded on closed bolt. This is my opinion, and it’s worth exactly what you paid for it.
  14. I cut a dovetail in the rib and installed a brazos lightning rod (.060 fiber) sight
  15. Mine would occasionally hang up like that. I sanded off the anodizing and polished the feed ramp in the lower receiver. This seems to have fixed it. Might check the extractor notch in the barrel. Mine was very sharp and would cut the plastic near the end of the shell. Where it folds over to form the crimp. I don’t think it was causing the malfunction, but i “smoothed” it up anyway. finally, I noticed it seems to run best with lots of oil.
  16. My shroud uses the same threads as the short nut. I had planned to shorten the shroud, but the comp included the short nut. Maybe they changed the shroud at some point...
  17. I tried herter’s 1oz 1060fps and they will not cycle the VR-80. I really wish they would work because they are super soft. Even with the Taccom buffer and a cut carbine spring, they are a no-go. Maybe if you drilled out the gas ports.
  18. comps and magwells are back in stock!
