Anyone make a flair powder funnel for the DAA bullet feeder?

Recommended Posts

The one DAA makes is garbage. The little ring that makes the flair deeper in the case keeps wearing out.

this makes the bullet not tip over when it rotates to the next station.

just wondering if anyone has a better option.

I recently bought the Shooting Sports Innovations Alpha Dropper for my Dillon 650. 5k rounds in and I had a much higher success rate of bullets not falling over. I'm using the DAA bullet feed due as well. It also reduces the amount of stress on the brass.

I hopes this helps.

If your referring to the powder funnel for use in a Dillon powder measure, then I have been using the Photo Escape funnels that are being made to the original MBF specs, for YEARS!  Also sold through UniqueTek.

Having loaded .45acp, 40S&W, and currently 9mm, I have never used anything better for creating that perfect "seat" for the bullet coming out of the MBF.  Works just as well with FMJ/JHP and coated lead.  They are also available when using larger diameter coated lead bullets!

Here is an older post addressing a similar issue:

Currently using one in Mark 7 fully automated loading configuration!

HTHs!

I run the ssi funnel on my 1100 w/ mark 7 auto drive, it’s extremely reliable much less bullet topple but it’s not 100%, usually crap brass is why the bullets tip over

Nice! I’ll keep this in mind. I ordered the SSI funnel a day before your post. I like the design of the one you posted better but I’ll know for sure when the new funnel comes Monday.
