Production Clones

Hi All,

 

Before writing NROI I thought I’d ask here if anyone knew if clones were covered under production. I have a Rock Island STK100, a Glock 17 clone (aluminum frame, 1911 grip angle) and I’d love to shoot it in CO but Rock Island doesn’t seem to be interested in submitting the NROI paperwork. 
 

I'm also thinking along the lines of something like the Girsan Regard, could it be covered under the Beretta flag.

Under the Special Conditions for Production: "...and must be on the approved list." Even if it's a clone, they still have to submit the proper paperwork to DNROI for inspection and compliance. Since Production is very specific to models that have been inspected and approved, I am sure that they are not allowed here. Of course, if you really want to shoot them, there's always Limited and Open. No sense in shoving a square peg in a round hole

They are not.

 

If something is not on the list, Production and Carry Optics are off limits to it.

Rock Island sponsors matches, so you just need to email the right people. With a little diplomacy and writing skills you can connect the right people to get the forms filled out.
