Anybody using Win 231 with heavy bullets in 9mm?

I'm thinking of loading a 160gr bullet and using Win 231.

 

Anybody do it?

Back in the wonderful days of affordable Star bullets several of us used their 124 grain bullet with about 4.0 grains of WW-231 and it was deadly accurate. I have loaded Bayou 147’s but would have to see if I still have that data.  I use N320 now but still like WW 231 because it tends to be more available on a consistent basis than the VV powders.

great power, been using it for decades, but no 160 grain bullets. My 9mm loads were all 124 grain.

One of the best powders for accuracy with 147 grain bullets, so its worth a try.  Never shot anything heavier.

I tried xtreme 165gr plated with W231. It shot well in a scorpion and tanfo limpro. The pistol seemed to have a slow slide, so went back to 147s and now 124s,,,
