TS2 side mount for a red dot

I want to install the side mount red dot for the TSO on my TS2. I can do the drilling and tapping. The part is made by CZCUSTOM and comes with the thumb rest. The frame on the TS2 does not have the milled recess for this mount like the TSO. So the red dot will not be exactly centered over the slide/bore and will be slightly to the left. I am going to use a Vortex Venom and the specs say it has 100 MOA windage adjustment. So am I good with this plan?

Thanks for you opinions.

Will it work? Sorta. Is it ideal? Not really. Without the recess, you will have your optic left of center, as you said. Now you will have two offsets. Elevation is always offset because the optic sits above the bore. On the near side of the zero distance, you hit below your point of aim and on the far side you hit above, at least until gravity pulls the bullet back towards earth and you pass through the point of aim again.  With the optic sitting left of center, you will have a windage offset as well. Yes, you will be able to zero it with the windage adjustment, but on the near side of the zero distance you will hit right of your point of aim and on the far side, you will obviously hit left with that distance growing as you reach out further beyond the zero point. Granted, the windage offset will be far less than the elevation and it may not be enough that it matters to you, but that is for you to decide.

If you go ahead, don't worry about windage, that recess depth isn't really going to make a difference.  If you zeroed at 25 yrds, then you'd be hitting 1/8" to the left at 50 yards.  I'd be more worried about the offset screwing up your index, and every time you look at it you'll be thinking "This looks janky".

What is your setup for adding the holes to the existing frame? My main concern with drilling and tapping the TS2 for the CZC mount would be messing up the alignment of the frame holes just enough to make the optic at too great/too little of an angle relative to the bore. The optic mounting surface is canted slightly down so that the line parallel to the mounting surface intersects the line parallel to the bore; if you measure the CZC mount you'll notice it is tapered from rear to front. Napkin math based on measurements I shared in this thread say it's about a 0.75 degree cant.

100 MOA of vertical adjustment gives you roughly +- 0.8 degrees up/down assuming your zero is perfectly centered. Getting the frame hole alignment off by 1 degree might make it impossible to zero the rifle and require shimming the optic, which is a pain, especially with a 2-screw MRDS. So how confident are you that you can get that level of precision out of your setup?

I have an extra one of these that I'm not using, was going to use it for an SP01 Project while back but didn't.....

When on the SP01, it was a little too far to the right which tells me it's made for the wider frame of the TS or the Shadow 2.  I would have to shim it about 0.050" to center it over the slide on an SP01.  As for lining up with the strange CZ downward bore angle, there's also a jig that they sell which I assume helps with that:

Also, I did actually try the mount on an SP01 and even though off center I was able to adjust the dot to zero, and I put on a Vortex Venom.  It felt a little weird but probably something you could get used to.  But I think that 5-hole mount that I posted will do the trick on a TS2.  I just checked with my TSO and it would center if just mounted on the frame with no cutout.  Only thing is that it puts the red dot a bit higher than the 'on-the-floor' mount for the Orange/Czechmate.

Also, with recent findings on slide/frame dimensions, you want to check if a side mount will still clear the slide even when mounted on the frame with no cutouts, since the TS2's slide flares out pretty widely.
