Chillywig
Just received one today and thinking about how to "attach" a drill to it. I did a little testing - hand crank vs using a drill and there is no way I will re attach the handle after trying the drill. I have a plan but curious if anyone else has been there and done that and has advice? Thanks
Farmer
First off I’ll tell you that I have not seen what your working on or messed with one. That said, depending on the speed and running time might I suggest that you adapt a proper gear motor to your unit. It will probably last much longer and do a better job. Drills aren’t really made to run for extended periods of time especially at lower speeds. Just a suggestion, as I’m sure others here may have better adaptations. markimm
There is a 10mm adapter in the box to use a power drill. Do NOT put a motor on it, the gear box is not made to do that...no, the gear box in the DC and manual units are not the same.
PhotoRecon
I use a drill with mine set at the lowest torque setting that works and run it slow. 9mm I use 4 setting and 5 or 6 for 45 acp to protect the unit. If you try to go fast the brass will fly out of the unit. Go easy as too much torque and you risk breaking internal components. I've read manufacturer reports about this happening.
