Shotgun For Daughter

Hello All.

I was wondering what the group would reccomend for starting my daughter with in informal 3 gun shotguns.

I have an 870 and a Benellio M1014 she has shot and did not like at all. I was thinking about starting her out in a 1100 20 guage to build up some recoil tolerance. what ya think?

I did show her proper stance and such to aleviate as much recoil as possible but still a no go.

A Remington 1100 or 11-87 Youth model would be ideal. Comes with a 21" barrel, and you can get a 20 ga mag extension from Choate. Here is a link to the new 11-87 model.

I totally agree. Get a Remington 1100 youth model in 20 and she will love it! It has a short stock and a short barrel. I started with one and it is still one of my favorite shotguns. Choate now makes all the extensions you would want for it.

I am just about to list a 1100LT 20 guage youth model in the classifieds.

Get the tweeny for her now and when she has mastered that and grown with it a bit, then move her to a twelver which is gonna be better for 3Gun in the long run.
