ysrracer Posted February 17, 2020 Share Posted February 17, 2020 I had a so called "master" revolver-smith in Arizona refinish my revo with a bead blast finish, and it looks like ****. Does anybody know a smith that can refinish it so it looks like the factory matte finish? This guy wants another crack at it, but I'm thru with him. NoSteel Posted February 18, 2020 Share Posted February 18, 2020 I've used well used glass bead to refinish mine in the past with good results duplicating the finish. Some hand buffing afterwards gets it damn close.. Maybe it was blasted with to course a finish?? Do you have pics? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
357454 Posted February 18, 2020 Share Posted February 18, 2020 If your gun was blasted with new beads at high pressure it will leave a rough surface, if the finish is not too rough it may have been a coverage issue that could be remedied by additional blasting. I have seen a stainless gun that was refinished with a soda blast, looked great.
