How do you change SP01 CZ Custom RDS plate?

The mounting threads stripped out on my CZ Custom RDS RMR plate, so so I need to install a new one. Question is: What is the best way to do this?

 

The RDS plate uses a very tight friction fit. I tapped the old one out but I had to use a punch to do it, and it marred the soft aluminum plate. Obviously, that won’t work for installing a new plate. 

So what’s the best way to drive the plate into the CZ Custom RDS cut without boogering it up?

I’ve never had to drive the new plate into place, I just replaced two plates to use an SRO, the plate pretty much slid into place. I slid them in from left to right (looking from back of gun).

 

When I removed my original plate I did have to drive it out as well, but the new plates slid in, it was the same on both SP-01’s I have.

Thanks. Interesting that your new plate slid right in. Getting my original plate out was a bear. I'm hoping my new plate will slide in, no problem.

Anyone have any tricks to getting that extractor pin easier? Ive always found it to be a hassle

There is a very small pin that is easy to miss that you have to tap through the bottom of the slide, this may be the problem. Once removed mine easily can be tapped out from left to right.
