OPENB
I’ve got an aluminum C-more that I’m having problems with. I’ll get a good zero & lock the set screws. Around 500 rounds later, I’ll be 8” left, and the elevation (windage in my case since I’m using a 90* mount) lock screw will be loose. Can Locktite be used on this lock screw? It doesn’t snug up line the other set screw.
jcc7x7
Pull the actual adjustment screw out and put blue locktite on it Clean it first, reinstall and get a sight in, then tighten lock screw. Then don't shoot it for a day, let the Loctite set . Usually the added resistance on the adjustment screw will hold with the lock screw just bumped tight It's worked for me in the past. Good fortune
George16
That’s one of the reasons I went with the polymer body instead of the aluminum. The polymer will actually snug on the lock screw and prevent it from working itself loose. But yeah, blue loctite, leave it for at least 24 hours to let it set and then you can use it afterwards.
