Finding out my wife pays attention!

My wife supports my shooting 100%. But whenever she asks how I do I always just say "I was XX out of XX shooters" figuring that was just simpler. But one day I said actually it's broken down into types of gun and I really only shoot against the same type of gun, etc.

 

This past weekend I came home and proudly proclaimed I was 4th out of 51 shooters. She says, "That's great, but how did you do against the other open shooters"? BUSTED

If she listens one more time, she can probably ask, "how many Open shooters were there", 

because you most likely (I hope) came in 4th among the Open shooters, too.

 

At least, I HOPE you didn't get beaten by a Glock

My wife usually goes to the matches with me either to spectate, or to keep me out of trouble, or compete if it's a steel challenge match.

 

Last match she wasn't feeling well, so she stayed home.  When I came home she asked how I did.  As usual I replied "I won overall."

 

"Oh, you shot PCC?"

 

DOH!   Busted.
