Matthew_Mink
I can't quote it word for word, but how many people caught what he was saying at the WS closing ceremony? Basically what we do prepares us for the ultimate use of a firearm and how that is as practical as it gets. Angus and I practically stood on the table and cheered. shred
I liked the part about "Back in my day, we called it COMBAT shooting, so that's what I'm going to call it now.." They had clips of him shooting IPSC / combat back in the 70's or 80's.
j1b
What's really cool is that he had his own ammo . . . Ok - I wasn't there but surely one of you all that was actually there was thinking "wait a minute - is he . . . is he actually shooting bullets???? Where did he get those????" Angus Hobdell
Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhhh Combat, I bet Nic was about peeing his pants. "ohh the nerve of it we are politically correct you know, this is nothing to do with combat" When they abnned the guns in England we told them it was just a sport and they said Oh Well. Now if it is defense then there is a reason. Long live Combat Shooting and the IPSC Combat World Championships

Rob Boudrie
Was this the current or former president? I remember 10+ years ago hearing that the Ecuador president was one of us. So, if my understanding is correct, this means that either (a) He's been a president for a long time ( The speaker is a former president © Ecuador has had two presidents who shot IPSC Can anyone enlighten? shred
I believe it's actually B. President is a very short-term occupation in Ecuador. If it's the same guy, he was also and may still be the mayor of Guayaquil.
