Poconolg Posted November 2, 2018 Share Posted November 2, 2018 I have a Glock 23 in 40 cal. At least 50k rounds thru it. Last week at the range I had 12% light hits. I used the same primers as I have always used Winchester. Is the gun getting old or what can be the problem. I always clean the gun. Any ideas would help me. mwc Posted November 4, 2018 Share Posted November 4, 2018 I bought my G23 in 1992 as my off duty gun. Its my oldest handgun and in the 26 years I have owned it, I don't recall a single malfunction. It kicked like a mule and I couldn't hit a darn thing with it. 50k is impressive. Sell her off and grab a fresh one. Tnbb33 Posted November 24, 2018 Share Posted November 24, 2018 Likely the striker spring, also make sure the striker channel is cleaned out. If the striker channel gets gummed up it’s going to cause striker issues. Just clean the channel out, don’t use any lube in it.
