  1. Extended firing pins tend to break has been my experience. I’ve had better luck just upping the striker spring weight and sticking the the factory firing pin.
  2. Can you find any of these powders at the moment?
  3. The chambers are much tighter on the gen 5, my gen4 loads won’t fit in a gen5 barrel. If you haven’t yet, pull the barrel and plunk some rounds in the barrel and see if they will spin freely. On some glocks I have had to remove and polish the extractor on the top and bottom sides where it would contact the slide. This has helped extraction for me in several cases.

    which cz

Have you seen the cz dwx? Sounds like it might be what you’re after. Believe they are unobtainium at the moment though.
  5. Use a different holster buy my old match glocks look pretty worn. Hasn’t caused any issues other than looking like they get used. If you’re dry firing and using them wear is hard to avoid. Maybe just use it as a bbq gun and avoid the wear?
  6. Thanks for the replies.
  7. What’s the correct recoil spring weight for a gen 5 17 mos for carry optics?

    Shadow 2 OR plate

Thanks. Do you have a model number for that plate? Just want to make sure I’m getting the right one.

    Shadow 2 OR plate

Which plates are drilled for removal of extractor (model number or link) and what’s your experience with them? good, bad or otherwise. Looking for one that will fit SRO on a shadow 2 OR. Thought cz had one but I don’t see one that appears drilled.
  10. As others said, use actual bullet weight when computing your power factor. Going for 130-135 in minor is pretty common and gives a margin of safety above the minimum. At major matches I’ve had bullets pulled and weighed, and also just asked what grain bullet I was using. So could happen either way at the match. If asked I’d just say the advertised weight. I’m typically 133-135pf, so would be well above minimum even with bullet weight variation.

    TSO conversion

Can the TSO 40 be converted to 9? If so..What parts would be needed and how’d it work if you did this?
  15. Found this in range pick ups, WCC 43. Does that date seem realistic? Anyone have an older case?
  16. Clean shot, vv320, sport pistol
  17. Already up to 3k with a mere 13 days left. Act fast, maybe they’ll do a buy now price of 10k for the glock.
  18. Here’s a quick check to see if it’s the sizing die. Size 100 cases, without actually loading, just sized. Then see how many fit in the hundo gage.
  19. The number of case uses may vary by sport, for USPSA or action pistol sports, it is generally as many times as the case can be loaded before it splits or the primer pocket is worn out and won’t hold a primer. Accuracy is not effected by using the case several times in this scenario. Case gauge will help find split cases, also they make a distinct noise compared to others before being loaded, making them easier to locate.
  20. Convinced many of those outrageous ads and prices are fake and someone runs up the bids on behalf of the seller. Agree that it will be listed again soon so if anyone missed out they should have another shot.
  21. The Dawson adjustable sights are nice. Have several thousands of rounds on them with no issues. They are much easier to change if your load changes and point of impact shifts as a result, versus trying to drift a sight. Worth it in my opinion.

    Case gauge

The easiest way I have found is to determine oal is take a spent case, not sized or anything, shove a projectile on to the end of it, then push this into the chamber until the bullet is seated all the way. Then measure that case, that’s your max oal for that chamber and projectile. Back off your loading oal the desired amount from the max, example .015 below max oal. Yes xl40 does longer rounds, that would be the one you want.
  23. Thanks, that would be helpful. Have heard of doing it for other models just not the s2.
