Finding Houston matches thru Practiscore

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be traveling to Houston in mid-August and was trying to see what matches would be taking place in the area.  Has anyone been able to use the Practiscore Matches page to find matches by area?  I put in a Houston zip of 77010 and it didn't return anything for the entire month of August?!  Anyone have any tips on using the search, or any other way to find out what's going on around the area?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think they're scheduled this far in advance, but some weekend matches you might want to look at are:

https://practiscore.com/clubs/generation-p-c

https://practiscore.com/clubs/area-59

https://practiscore.com/clubs/kidlat-shooters

Weekday matches include

and Rangemasters at 6:30 Thursdays at D Gun Range on US-59 and Hooper.

eta: Area 59's website is usually up to date with match announcements in the area - http://area59.us/index.html

Area 59, Kidlat, and Generation all shoot at KellC Ranch near Rosenberg.  All are great clubs which put on solid matches. I typically shoot Area 59 or Kidlat, haven't shot with Generation but the major matches they host are very well done.

We do not schedule our matches that far in advance but here's the general schedule at our home range in Navasota:

1st weekend - Dissident Arms UML Multigun Multigun Link

2nd weekend - JP Enterprises Falling Steel Steel Link

3rd weekend - Brazosland Pistoleros USPSA USPSA Link

There is also a fourth weekend match at the same range.  Due to changes in MD after the first of the year it may use USPSA rules but not include a classifier stage.

The range is by far my favorite and has excellent facilities. Drive time from The Woodlands / Conroe is around 1 hr 15 min.

Houston is a big place.  What part of town will you be staying?
