Hi

is it possible  to use the JP captured spring on my A5 buffer tube?, A5 tube lenght is between the carbine and rifle, even the buffer lenght is between the 2.  Right now I'm using the A5 H0 which 3.3Oz and a reduced power rifle buffer spring. just to mentioned that Faxon LW BCG and Odin adjustable GB is fiited to the rifle , with a 18 rifle gas system bbl. thanks

You wouldnt use the OE buffer AND the SCS. You would replace the current buffer and spring with the JP-SCS.

Remove current spring and buffer.

Drop spacer into buffer tube.

Drop SCS into buffer tube. (FYI - this is much easier to accomplish with the buffer retainer remover from the lower).

Measure how far the SCS protrudes from the buffer tube/receiver extension; call this "x".

Remove the SCS and spacer.

Using a hacksaw, trim the spacer by the amount that the SCS protruded, the "x" measurement from earlier. **Note - Better to leave spacer a little too long rather than trim off too much.

Drop trimmed spacer into tube.

Drop SCS on top.

Close and fix receivers back together and go shoot.

If you do happen to trim the spacer a little too short, you can drop a quarter between the spacer and the SCS.  If you trimmed it a lot too short you just add more quarters.  Plus you'll always have change if you need to buy ice cream at the Dairy Queen if you have a bad day.

Nice! This may actually prove to be an incentive for over-trimming!
