tank69
Ported barrels are NOT permitted and it says slides may be ported. Is there any extent to the porting and does porting also cover slide lightening? IOW, can I drill holes in the slide of my G34 & G35 and still be legal for Limited and L10. TIA, Tank
scooterj
just about anything goes on the slide. reliability may suffer if too much weight is removed.
Sterling White
Didn't glock already do that?
Chuck Anderson
Yep, I've got lightening cuts in the slide of my .40 SVI. Every now and then someone will try to tell me that it's illegal, but I've shot it at 6 National championships without a problem.

Glock didn't compromise the 34 & 34 slide reliability when they designed the airspace did they?!
eric nielsen
The only Glock I would consider lightening the slide would be a G20. They were build for 210pf ammo. The G35 is fine unless you want to shoot 125pf ammo only.
Crusher
I would bet if you use flute cuts in non-structural (top corners, side flats well above the rails) of the slide you could lighten it up a bit. The stock slide (34/35) move fairly fast as it is, be carefull not to go to crazy because relaiability (feed) may suffer. maybe .75-1.25 oz would not hurt if you wish to move it faster. Imagine that, a tri-topped, serrated, and fluted tupperware slide done in cobra-chrome, that would take the box look out for sure.
