RevolverJockey
There is a laser engraver here local that I have seen engrave honeycomb cocking serrations in a glock slide around .03 deep. I have considered having some layout lines for front strap checkering done. They don't use an XY driven system line a 2 axis CNC, it is an articulating head with a focal distance. Had a few Form 1 suppressor bodies engraved to .010" deep in 304 SS so I know it can be done. If you really look at it, even 20 lpi checkering is only around .033" high if you put a .01" flat on the top. Even shorter if you have more lines. Even if you just got shallow lines engraved it would be easy to continue them with a file. Lee
