bountyhunter
My shooting glasses have a half-moon shaped gouge right in the center of the right lense dead on line with my cornea. A fired brass came back hard enough to take that chunk out of polycarbonate. God knows what it would have done to my eye.
iweiny
And here I am trying to keep my eyes open during the shot!!! sometimes nature has a way of protecting us... Ira
GuildSF4
I had a chunk of lead come back off a plate that hit me right on top of one of my ribs, bruised the bone. Definitely wear your safety glasses.
kimel
I was working the plate rack today at the range and caught two chunks of jacket/bullet coming back when an errant shot caught the top of the bullet deflector just right. At 10 yards one chunk hit my glasses and the other stuck into my cheek just to the side of my moustache. Glasses (Rudy's) were unaffected, not even scratched. Didn't notice the shard in my cheek until I bent over to retireve a mag and blood dripped on my hand. It was raining with a bit of a breeze so the blood running down my face didn't get noticed. Cut the errands in town after shooting short as my white t-shirt looked like I was the victim of an axe murderer.
