glocklover
How often do you find yourself needing 20 round magazines? Is it worth all the trouble and expenses? Thinking about trying the standard 18 rounds my stock sti mags.
zzt
All the time. There is always a stage or three in Limited where you can be super aggressive while moving, and the extra two rounds is a comfort. That is always the case on steel stages, especially if many are partially hidden. In Open, I always start with a big stick, need it or not. Think of it this way. 20 rounds lets your shoot two views back to back with 2 rounds per view as backup. With 18 you only have 1 round per. More is better, even if you don't use it. Pirate
Every mag filled to capacity and pouches full on every stage regardless of round count. Better to have and not need than need and not have.
EliteGuard
I have had a couple of stages where i have used all 20 in the magazine and i have had stages where i reload with half the magazine remaining. The extra rounds do give you more flexibility on deciding where to reload. I think you could compete with 18 just fine. You just have to be clever in stage planning. mlmiller1
Most 20s are just 18s with a different base plate, not an extension or any change to the length externally.
