Ok To Use 12rnd Mag Tube For Open?

I am currently building an Open 1100 and was wondering if it is ok to use a 12rnd mag tube in USPSA 3 gun? I know you can not have 12 rounds loaded but is there any limit on the mag tube itself?

Thanks

Mike

As per US Appendix D-1 (shotgun) there is no length for the tube,

but 10 + 1 is what I have heard is all that you may load.

In action steel shooting I have seen some tubes that were very long.

Current USPSA rules allow a max 10 round tube plus one in the chamber. Prior to 2002, Open permitted any tube length. Some gamers, have their old tubes and use them to advantage in non USPSA matches.

that's why they call it open?:wacko: stupid rule. i have a 15 round tube and should be able to use it to it's capacity.

And they wonder why more shooters don't play the game...... TO MANY DUMB RULES!

THey should rename the DIvision "Restricted Hi-Tech"

Thanks for the help.

I think I will just get a 10rnd because after putting the 12rnd tube on, it sticks out 1.5" past my 28" barrel and I don't need to make it any longer.

That's like tactical saying a 20 inch barrel but my tube can extend past it. Then why can't my barrel be longer. Same doors it has to fit through!

Open should be open, and darn then you want to shoot that is safe.
