93notch
Hey everyone, I am just shooting local 3 gun matches and some of the close bigger matches. Zombies in the heartland is coming up this coming weekend,, woo-hoo cant wait for that one again. Anyways back on topic, I am thinking about trying to find an inexpensive way to get into open pistol shooting for just the local matches since i don't have a fancy open style shot gun. Anyways any good places to look for cheaper guns, dont have to be top of the world. I shoot a DVC limited right now. Thanks
Hi-Power Jack
$2,500 for a NEW TruBor (9mm), or probably $1500 for a used TruBor. Comes with everything you need except mags/holster. Love my TruBor.

toothandnail
We will be there, also have a side match/demo where you can shoot some of our 2011's - Open and non-open shotguns as well. We will probably bring a more budget friendly one as well.
93notch
sweet i will stop by and try the open pistols. i want to try them and maybe get my dads hands on one. i think it would help him shoot faster and better. Is there going to be a cost for it?

Is there going to be a cost for it? If you want to enter to win the shotgun, $5.00 gets you a run on the stage (8 targets - 10 rounds) everybody is scored Lewis class. You can shoot as many times as you wish, then we will draw from the 3 first place names For those who do not know what Lewis class is we will be doing the following Say there are 30 shooters, all times are ranked accordingly Then the field will be divided by 3 to get class A, B , C basically the first place goes to 1st , 11th, and 21st Another way to look at it is $5.00 buys you a raffle ticket, only you get something more than a paper ticket
toothandnail
sweet i will stop by and try the open pistols. i want to try them and maybe get my dads hands on one. i think it would help him shoot faster and better. Is there going to be a cost for it? I shot an Open Glock before, within the first 200 rounds I was already faster. Before I always said "the gun don't make much difference", I was WRONG ! We literally finished the gun Friday night about 5, I went to the range and shot about 150 rounds, then shot a match on Sat.
kneelingatlas
Is there going to be a cost for it? Yes, you will completely forget how to reload and become obsessed with buying new gear/guns.
