Bubing10
Just wondering if dillon SDB can be use to load 9mm major with OAL 1.165, more specific on the crimping of the round. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Kingman
Yep. I did for 20 years until I bought a 650 last year. Back out the seating head a bit.

Hi-Power Jack
I've reloaded many tens of thousands of 9mm Major rounds on my SDB's (2). There is an issue to be aware of - it does a great job, except in sizing the case - it has a tendency to NOT size the case enough to prevent bullet setback. Few years ago, I heard about this, and tested it with my rounds - found that when I reload to 1.165", I was getting some bullet setback with a 124 gr MG JHP bullet. I decided it was not serious enough to address (buy a 550 and special sizing dies that do a better job sizing the brass), and have NOT had a problem with the bullet setback issue, to date. But, that is a potential problem (NOT crimping) - it's the sizing die that creates the grip on the bullet, not the crimp in semi-auto cartridges. zzt
I was just mulling over getting another SDB so I didn't have to change tool heads so often. Then I considered how much I shoot. 300 45 and 150 40 (more if there is a match that week) means I spend an awful lot of time reloading. So now I'm thinking a 650XL would make more sense. The doubled throughput would mean a lot less time spent reloading. I'm leaning towards that now, especially since I am getting into Open this year. I may even get a Mr Bullet Feeder for it to speed things up even more.
