71Commander
What limitations? Sear, spring kit, FSS trigger, all or none? Thanks.
CZ85Combat
look at rule 21.6 Examples of external components which may only be replaced with OFM parts include (but are not limited to): magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties and triggers. nahanshew89
Depends on the gun. I believe a model of M&P has an Apex trigger, don't quote me on that, but if so, you can put it in a different M&P.
71Commander
In Production, an APEX sear and springs are legal. Just wondering if the APEX trigger was legal as well.
nahanshew89
Yea, that's correct, those count as internal mods.
brownnutz
Yea, that's correct, those count as internal mods. I know this for fact that yes, the internals can be switched however any visible physical modification, like an APEX flat faced or aluminum trigger, bumps you out of Production. I didn't realize this 3 days ago when I shot a small match at the NRA. Edited March 17, 2016 by brownnutz

I didn't realize this 3 days ago when I shot a small match at the NRA. What about carry optics? Carry optics have the same restrictions as Production. Triggers (externally visible part) can only be replaced with OFM parts. S&W has never installed any Apex parts in a M&P. So the answer would be "no". brownnutz
That I am not sure of. If I recall, carry optics is a branch off production. I did just find this.. http://uspsa.org/document_library/2015/APPENDIX-Carry%20Optics%20Provisional%20Division.pdf Not sure how old/relevant it is
