How to clean dirty comp

50% vhite vinegar, 50% hydrogen peroxide. Works for me on carbon & lead. Soak, clean, repeat. Don't let it sit forever, though.

This is what I do. I let mine soak for about 20 minutes.

I use the Arredondo comp cleaner. I modified it with a grinder a tad to get it a bit sharper and a better angle on the tip. Basically, I removed the rounded back side so it's more like a screw driver. A screw driver will get all.. well, screwed up, because the tip isn't as hard as this tool.

I've used a Dremel in the past and that did a good job as well, but created big dusty mess. This tool just chips chunks out that can be dumped in the trash.

Weapon Shield Solvent. I just spray it down and shoot it out the next time I'm at the range.

I always spray my comp down with it afterwards to prevent any buildup.

If you have a new comp spray it down before you shoot it and it will put a barrier on it.
