Stock II Xtreme features?

Looking at photos on dealer's websites, it looks as though the Stock II Xtreme has the standard trigger and hammer.

Are these photos accurate?

Does anyone know what features actually come on the pistol?

It is around $1700 where a Stock 2 is around $950, $750 extra. I won't consider one unless I can justify the extra cost.

I see 3 extra Mags and 4 base pads- $175

Grips- $100

Front sight- $75

That is $350 worth

The only thing they have going for them over the stock is the cool colors.

Comes with 1 piece sear

Erics firing pin

Extreme trigger which makes the trigger reach really far.

Still needs a full trigger polish and snipping of springs.

All silver internals which don't mean anything because they all need polished anyways which makes them a waste.

My friends trigger failed to reset after about 20 rounds

mecgar mags are better the eaa mags and the egd basebads req a hex to take them off. ( a pain IMHO)

Theres some more but its a waste to even talk about it.

Probably depends on what you plan to add to your Stock II.

If you are someone who's happy with the base gun and some polishing, then the Xtreme makes no real sense.

But I see several advantages - based on how I put together my other Stock IIs.

These are the rough retail prices for the extras that I cared about.

1. Xtreme trigger - $100.

2. Delta hammer - $115.

3. Xtreme Grips - $115

4. 3 extra mags - $75

5. Xtreme FP - $40

6. Xtreme guide rod - $40

7. 1-piece sear - $40

8. Xtreme FO front sight - $65

Total = $590

That doesn't include the base pads ($40 each) or the Xtreme parts that are chromed. Those don't matter to me.

Personally, I love the black/bronze look of the extreme - once the silver controls are replaced with black.

^^^ I think the Xtreme is worth it BUT

The Xtreme Front Sight os shorter than Dawson right ?

Why Eric Grauffel uses the regular Stock and not the Xtreme ?? Good question

Yes, the Xtreme sight is about half as long as the Dawson. I changed from Dawson to Xtreme becaus of this, I wanted the longer sight radius. The Dawson might give a slightly brighter dot because of the longer FO rod, but I haven't really noticed any difference.

I have an xtreme. If I were to do it all over again, I would buy a regular Stock 2, buy the parts I use for my guns and have the gun finished in the same colors. It would probably save a few hundred dollars. There's nothing special about the xtreme.

I keep the FO rod protruding from Xtreme front sight in my direction for brightness and superglue it in the sight.

From my experience, Xtreme guns are better deal out of the box, but no-nonsense trigger job will make regular gun a better shooter. Xtreme hammer spring is weak and may require replacement in a couple of months.
