Precision40
My life is now complete since we finally got The Food Network and Iron Chef. It's so grossly overdramatic that it's funny. Truly Must See TV.
GRD
Big Iron Chef fan here. The American version is great too. Not as overly dramatic, so it doesn't have the same feel to it - but great cooking going on. Good stuff. tightloop
The Japanese version does indeed have different tastes in the way food is prepared...some of it raw or nearly so.....with a lot of soy and lots of weird veggies...
Flexmoney
Iron Chef? Is that where they go head-to-head and have a limited time to prepare the meals?

kevin c
Big Iron Chef fan here. The American version is great too. Not as overly dramatic, so it doesn't have the same feel to it - but great cooking going on.Good stuff. AYYYAAAAAHAHAHHHHCUISSIIIINNEEE!!!! - Gabe <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thought it was "Allez cuisine..." Was I hallucinating when I heard that they wanted William Shatner as the host of the American version? That would have been great - an American overblown scenery chewer to match the Chairman... tightloop
Actually, Shatner did a few episodes and was surprisingly good ....not like Chariman Kaga, but good, for an over weight Trekie....
