Garmil
Have a mka 1919 looking around at different red dot options. Is a prism style (vortex spitfire, Burris ar-132 etc) a bad idea on a shotgun due to the difference in eye relief compared to a standard red dot? TRUBL
You might want to look at the CMORE railway.......been pretty much bullet proof on any shotgun that they've been putt on so far.
mscott
I like to open type sights like the FF or CMore. I have a FF3 on my Benelli and put a Razor red dot on my 1919. I do have a couple of Spitfires on rifles, but don't think I would like them on a shotgun.
bmiller
I have been happy with a cmore. I had my sparc 2 mounted on the top cover rail, I thought it blocked too much.
wgj3
Vortex Spitfire for $199 at PSA. I recently put one on an AR10 and have been happy with it other than the flimsy caps/covers that come with it.
Garmil
Hmm I was hoping people would think they are ok. Really think the spitfire reticle would be good for a shotgun and the etched glass is good insurance. I just haven't looked through one yet to get a feel for the eye box. wgj3
I've had no trouble with the optic (Vortex Spitfire). I have adjusted the location on my rail a few times, but that has been simply for how/what I want to see around the sight. I would suggest that when/if you get it, the first thing you do is remove the base and put some thread-locker on the screws.
Garmil
How forgiving would you say the eye box is?
Benl
Aimpoint PRO works great.
Garmil
Got a spitfire coming to try. Like that it has the focus ring and etched reticle. Hopefully it works out on a shotgun.
