AWLAZS
Hey which is better for feeding issues JHP or round nose. I have been using a lead T/C and am now switching over to jacketed. I have been having feeding problems with my big stick and jhp's is it just me ?
ErikW
Could be you if you didn't shorten the OAL for the JHPs.
AWLAZS
Could be you if you didn't shorten the OAL for the JHPs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I adjusted for the new bullet but the aol is the same for the two.
stingerjg
i use JHP just for the fact that it has a closed base. Ive never had a feeding problem w/ them. Of course mine feeds sized brass.
George
JHP's are fine if they feed ;-) As Erik said, the OAL may need to be a little shorter. If JHP's won't feed, then RN are a better choice (if RN don't feed at normal lengths, fix the gun!). It all depends on what works in the gun. JHP's should, but that's not a real life certainty in all guns. -- Regards,
ErikW
Then you probably want to shorten your OAL by .01-.02".
Alan Meek
Like has bee stated previously either should work but if you use round nose then try to get an enclosed base Alan
j1b
I am a HUGE advocate of the JHP - specifically in 9mm/38 super calibers. They are generally more accurate, and I've never had feeding issues. Plus as mentioned they are generally wrapped all the way around. If they work - which they should - I'd go JHP (in case you couldn't have guessed that from the first two sentences ) JB
Loves2Shoot
I use Zero JHP 124's and have had no feeding problems. The jacketed base keeps the blowholes much cleaner also.
