+P for my CZs

How has your experience been with shooting +P defense rounds through your CZs - P-09, SP-01 Shadow, 97b? 9, 40, 45?

9mm+P loads are generally ~150pf, I've shot thousands of rounds of 9 major at 170+PF in my CZ Open guns for years without issues, so I think you should be OK.

I fired 160 pf rounds in my Shadow with no problems except that the rear LPA adjustable sight blew off and hit me in the head.

I suggest using the 14 lb recoil springs if you are going to use them regularly.

That actually sounds like a problem.

I'm really bad with gun logic. Is it merely to offer more resistance against the blow back?

Well in Laymens terms you basically should match your springs to your loads for proper cycling.

You should match the recoil spring to slide weight for proper cycling. Light spring for light slide and heavy spring for heavy slide. CM uses 10 lb spring for minor and major loads.
