Prov1x
I'm thinking of taking in a project gun and turning it into a limited gun. I know cts/ts or what not but that is not what I am wanting to do or curious about. Has anybody ever turned a .40sw SP01 into a limited gun, set up in either single action or with the current da/sa trigger? Any issues with an SP01 in .40, reliability issues, parts breakage etc? I know I would change sights, grips, hammer etc and add a magwell and mag extensions. Any thoughts?
kneelingatlas
Better make that Limited 10! the SP01 in 40 only holds 12 rounds, maybe 15 in a 140 with Grams guts.
jbultman
I have a buddy who did... Honestly I don't know quite everything that he did, but I'm going to do my best! Converted to be shot SA with a competition hammer and a 1.75-2# trigger pull. Custom done by a guy in Dayton, Ohio. Magwell and grips bought from CZ custom. Grips were modified to be used with the magwell. I don't know what mag extensions he's using, but i know it doesn't hold many rounds, maybe 14-15 doing 3 reloads Per stage. I know that he's got a f/o front sight and an all black rear. No real issues to my knowledge. I can ask if you would like Edited July 7, 2015 by jbultman
Prov1x
Ah, I didn't check the mag capacity as I thought it was 15 but I see that is for the P09. That could be an interesting project as well...
djcantr
You mentioned the P-09, I think it'd make a better limited gun.
vixty
Only thing about the p-09 is you loose the nice heavy gun. Plus at least for me the beavertail on the P models don't make as good of a weld in my web
