Endurokids
I picked these two up from the classifieds here, and am wondering if the moon clips are required for both, or will either of the 625's work without moon clips? I know that for competition it's a no brainer, moonies all the way Thanks!
TennJeep1618
IIRC, you can shoot 45 Auto Rim out of a 625 without moon clips. At the very least, I don't believe you can eject a 45ACP without a moon clip.
PatJones
As noted on other threads, the chambers are cut deeper than necessary from the factory and require moonclips for proper headspace.

afoulk
I didn't have any problems with firing factory ammo out of my 625 pc without moonclips. The empty cases could be pulled out with a fingernail or pushed out with a pencil. When I overcrimped my competition loads, they didn't headspace properly and failed to ignite. I didn't do it often so I can't tell you about any long term effects. For practice, you could look into the Rimz 25 or 625 polymer clip. Endurokids
As soon as I checked out the fact that the extractor doesn't pick up the rounds, I will only use moon clips in them. The pistols came with more than 75 moon clips and a easy installation tool too. Thanks again for the help.

Endurokids
What is a good competition holster to use for my 4" S&W 625? Both in leather as well as kydex. I have Double Alpha holsters that I could buy the insert for, but don't want to do that just yet.
COF
Bladetech makes a good Kydex that you can use for both USPSA and IDPA - use the drop offset for USPSA and the belt loop attachment for IDPA. Edited June 28, 2015 by COF
