  1. Personally, I think your first gun should be the only one that counts for a score that gets reported in the overall or division results. There's a valid enough equity question that I'd rather avoid completely by listing second guns separately or just distributing those results privately.
  2. Nah. Those were bubberized, but not radically. In my experience, consistency definitely improves without any real cost with more conservative facing. IMO if one needs a loading block to load them, too much material was removed. My entire release trigger sits just long of the face of my loaders when empty, and I'm happy with that. Mine are just a touch longer than what is shown on the 4wheelguns.com site linked below. Here's a link on how to do it. It's pretty easy. I did mine with a belt sander then finer grit paper on a palm sander then cleaned up the holes with an exacto knife. Not exactly professional looking work, but functional and good enough for not getting paid to do it. http://4wheelguns.com/RPerdue/?page_id=34
  3. Looks like your setup will work. Here's my setup 9mm powder funnel/flaring die. The .38/.357 might work, but I don't know for sure. Large pistol case feeder - I get occasional hangups at the mouth of the case feeder so the small could work better. Purple (40 cal) case feeder adapter the rest of the components are from the .38/357 caliber conversion kit I'm using dillon 9mm dies for seating and crimping. My sizing die is a Lee undersize .38/.357 special die.
  4. I'd be in, coming from Woodbridge. I've been bouncing around the idea putting on a regular match, myself. Wheelies are kinda sparse in these parts, but there's a handful around. It might be a good idea to reach out to IDPA MD's in the area to fill out classic and L6.
  5. My only fitment issue with my L and N frame blocks has been that the overall width of my recently purchased TRR8 was a little wide. My 625, 627 Pro and VCOMP fit perfectly, though. A little light sanding on the side support rails in the holster body did the trick. I didn't have to do anything with the locking block, though.
  6. I kinda like boxes and barricades, CS-024. Ive shot it a couple of times. It's a pretty fast hoser with movement, reloads and options for 8 shot guns. http://icore.org/classifiers/CS-024.pdf
  7. If you're sticking with the brass you have, I found that RP brass works very well with TK Standard Stainless clips. Revofan has mentioned the combination I'd recommend if you're buying everything. While you're buying, go with the Starline Short Colt brass and skip the headaches.
  8. North Mountain here, too. I got a custom setup with 9 holders and spacers to push the loaders out from the belt a little ways. Safariland 333 and CD-2 and Hogue HoldAll holders will all work, but have different tradeoffs. Stages where all ammo starts on the table are a little more difficult with those rigs. Throwing loaders in the big cups of the NM rig is a bit faster.
  9. Thanks for mentioning this. I bought two rugers used that already had hogue grips on them. I had no idea the original look could still be had. Time to dress up the gp and sp.
  10. For competition, get the Model 15. It's not even close. The reason? Comp 3 speedloaders are available for it and not for the speed six. Nothing close in speed is available for the Speed six. The Speed six might make a nice house gun though. Get them both.
  11. Same story here. I'd do it pretty much just for the heavier barrel configuration. There should be no expectation of improved quality with a PC gun over a "lower" line gun. Go with the JM.
  12. I see no reason it wouldn't be legal for Classic division with the weights removed. Good point. I never thought of removing the weights.
  13. Based solely on gunshop fondling, I like the gun. It seems like you have a decent plan for it. It would also be illegal for ICORE classic, if that game is available to you. A plain jane 6 inch 686 would be a better general purpose gun if you planned to play ICORE at any point.
  14. I had a similar thing happen with my DAA pro belt and boss hanger. I thought of fishsticks solution right after I got the stock screws to work by using a clamp or two for a temporary hold.
  15. I'm jealous. That's solid participation. Any word if one of them is going to be doing the SW Regional?
  16. I use the pocket pro (not the 2) and it works great for par time dry fire drills. It's really easy to reset with no menus to navigate to make the changes I need to make. The Pro 2 might work better for live fire, but the standard pro is a solid unit for dry fire. My ShotMax timer can pick up dry fire clicks on my revolver when worn backwards on my wrist, but it also picks up the trigger reset as well. The beep is also a little bit irritating when using it from a surrender position. Overall, I still prefer the Pocket Pro for most things. I can't say no to the Pocket Pro 2, but I would buy the Pocket Pro again in a heartbeat.
  17. Been there. Done exactly that. I still run specials in speedloader guns, so the intermediate step didn't really hurt. If you go with starline for specials and short colts, you won't have to buy the second set of moonclips when you change your mind. You could always just cut to the chase and skip straight to SC and moons that fit. Good luck.
  18. To be blunt, save yourself the grief. Sell the mixed brass and buy starline brass. Some people sort their brass by headstamp and experiment with what fits and what doesn't. I recommend taking the shortcut and just buying the starline stuff, because with 1500 mixed cases, you may not have enough of what work to standardize on anything.
  19. Maybe this will help. Nutnfancy did a little review. Here's a link. https://youtu.be/Sb_GFV_0KY8
  20. Yep. One fewer choice is a bad thing. Especially when they worked as well as they did. I thought they were better than Safariland loaders. I just wish they were a bit longer.
  21. Completely disagree with the CZ75. One of the better reasons is the DA trigger reach. The reach to all of the controls including the safety can be too much for small hands. The wrong grips and the wrong trigger make it even worse. M&P, PPQ and VP9 are my recommendations. For another choice, S&W K and L frame revolvers are not bad at all for smaller hands.
  22. I run a 6" 686 in ICORE classic, but run 627 V-comp for USPSA. I think an 8 shot moonclip gun is the way to go for USPSA if you're buying a new gun for USPSA only. More holders for your IDPA gun and belt is the cheap way to dip your toe into USPSA revo. You don't need more than a 4" barrel for USPSA, but longer works a bit better for most. Safariland(CD2 and 333) and Hogue (HoldALL) have some less expensive options for holders, if you're going to add holders to your current rig. You might just save money in the long run if you just take the leap. I do think you'll like the game, and you won't be as competitive as you'd like with a 6 shot speedloader gun shooting minor power factor.
