MickB Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 I'm wanting to replace the mag catch on my STI Trojan with an extended unit. Any preference for Ed Brown or the Nowlin units? zzt Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 I just replaced an STI mag release in an STI receiver with an Ed Brown extended. I like it much better. It holds the mags higher than the STI unit, and also prevents over insertion. However, the head sticks out far enough that you may have unintended mag drops when shooting two-handed.
