72stick
I'm thinking about plugging my 10 round tube to use in Heavy metal. The rule doesn't say you can't. What are other people doing? Here's the rule - 7.5.3.10 Shotguns in Heavy Optics Division SHALL NOT hold more than eight (8) shells in the magazine total or start a stage with more than nine (9) shells total in the shotgun. (Rule 3.7)
jhr1986
I don't see where in that rule it says you cannot plug your mag tube. Nor do I see anything that says that a longer tube which has been plugged shall be prohibited.
Dan Sierpina
Why are you reducing capacity voluntarily?
jon49erfan
can't have more than 8. using a longer tube reduces the force it takes to get the last rounds in the tube. plugging it makes sure you never go over
Dan Sierpina
What match is that? Sorry, the 3GN sunk in. Edited May 5, 2015 by Dan Sierpina
ziebart
Use the plug. The first year I shot USPSA Nationals they limited it to 8 rounds in the tube at any time. The plug worked fine, and kept me from accidentally loading more than allowed.
