When I drove through from GA to Fairbanks, I decided to ship my firearms, as their rules are very obtrusive. My Glock 19 doesn't have a long enough barrel to even be allowed into the country. Also, be careful of magazine capacities, as they are very restrictive. Even if there is no firearms in the vehicle, they will confiscate any magazines that do not meet their requirements.
