fmiller
Just getting ready to buy a .45 Witness Match (is this the same as an "elite" match.... ?) and I wanted to see if any of you have had issues with LSWC (200gr, if it helps) bullets. I have a LOT of loaded rounds...
kneelingatlas
When I had a .45 Witness I could not get it to shoot semi-wadcutters, I used them up in a 1911.
fmiller
Dang... just sold off my 1911... Oh well, they'll make more...
Nealio
My .45 Tanfoglios have always fed much better than the 1911's I've had. But I only shoot plated round nose....
MickB
The trick to shooting SWC's in Tanfoglio's is to load the cartridge long, otherwise they will get hung up on the top of the chamber... Mick
jmbaccolyte
I don't shoot .45 anymore (free .40 brass-what can I say?), but I have over ten thousand rounds through my .40 Witness Elite Match (with many of them SWC, before I switched to Bayou and BBI coated bullets) without any failures to feed. I load at 1.23" OAL and use 10mm mags, so maybe Mick is onto something.
