cwmax2000
GREAT, thanks ya'll. Now I have to learn about the optics. Can someone tell me about 3 MOA vs 8 MOA? Which is better for rifle and which is better for pistol? Thanks again for your response...Cmax
BeerBaron
8moa for pistol. 3 moa is a good rifle dot. but really it comes down to 2 things. what kind of sport/use do you have the gun for what will be the most common distance you shoot it at. 8moa is a great dot size on a pistol in practical type shooting and when distances rarely go over 35 yards. if you had a rifle with the same kind of use and never more than say 80 yards then 8moa might suit it too. if it's for longer range stuff 3moa would be more suitable. as you shoot at further distances the larger MOA dots will be obscuring larger amounts of the target and thus making precision shots more difficult.
