waktasz
Another USPSA GM friend and I put some drills together and filmed them this weekend. This one shows the power of shooting on the move. We hope to release a new one every Wednesday. I'd love to hear you feedback and suggestions. http://www.super-tactical.com/2014/11/super-tacticalcom-drill-of-week-1-three.html
Gooldylocks
It's interesting because it doesn't look like it is faster when you watch it, but the timer says otherwise. Very cool. Thanks for the drill!
waktasz
Thanks for watching! I agree, it seems counter intuitive, but it's the stopping and starting that really eats up the time. For example, running to the spot so that you can shoot everything from one spot takes about 2.3 seconds from the buzzer until the first shot breaks. I can do the whole stage in about that amount of time if I start shooting right away.

pcs352
The middle "plan" looked the fastest but the timer said otherwise. Nice work thanks!
Cobra99
That looked an awful lot like practice. Where was AJ's open gun? Shooting on the move can save so much time, great way to show that. Another thing to add would be how much time that would mean in a medium or long course. Time adds up quickly. Look forward to the next one. Maybe I'll have to get out and practice. waktasz
AJ switched to Production after he made GM in Open. He was shooting a tanfo and now a Sig

lcs
I knew shooting on the move is the way to go, but the video expanded my view. Keep em coming!
waktasz
Week #2 is up now. I'll make a new thread because I can't edit the first post here
FF112173
What I noticed most was that it was smooth movement which I assume kept your accuracy up. Moving with legs positioned athletically to keep balance and proprioception. Excellent video!
connermorrow
Great proof that shooting on move is faster than getting into one position and shooting it all from there, I am often tempted to do that when planning stages.
