SP01 Combat ?

So... I was thinking... what if I put a 85 Combat upper on a SP01 lower and call it a SP01 Combat. Would it be a legal game gun??? Why??? Why not??? Things that tickle me and make me go Hmmm at the same time....

Yes 85C trigger in a SP-01 is legal. Its pretty common in SP-01 and Shadows to replace the trigger with the 85C trigger.

The 85Cis production legal therefore its parts are legal to use on another production gun.

No, because the standard SP 01 has a firing pin block, and the 85 combat does not it is considered disabling a safety device.

Well I read that wrong, thought it was about the trigger. The above responses are right. Using the 85 upper is not legal in production.

Thanks Kneelingatlas ... That was a very good read. It not only answered but confirmed what I was already thinking. I'm sure it is a tuff gig being the rule maker ... And it's a tuff gig agreeing with them too .... I was thinking of getting a 85c to throw in the glovebox of my car and had a what if moment ... Lol
