What barrel shell i use? A bull barrel with comp or a threaded barrel with a cone-comp? I have read Bar-Sto barrels are very good. I was thinking on 9x23 caliber. .40AET
Find the gunsmith first, and he will work out all of the details with you.
kdj
I second the suggestion. Short guns can be temperamental and most gunsmiths who know how to make them work have their own "secret sauce". Kevin
ErikW
Search the forums for Pro Sx2 (Brazos Custom, a sponsor), Bedell (via Shooters Connection, a sponsor), J.L. Hardy, and Dawson Minigun Stroker, for a start. There are a ton of posts on short guns.
Millennium Custom II
I've been building 9x23 since before the 38 sc was invented in the '90's. As far as a shorty or a five inch gun, if you understand how a gun works, it makes no difference in building one. www.mcguns.com
