Speed bump...finally an answer!

A speed bump is not a legal modification for SSP. No, it is a visible

external modification therefore would not be legal.

Subject: modification question

SSP permitted modifications. #4 Internal action work may be used to

enhance trigger pull as long as safety is maintained (no visible

external miodifications allowed).

Is an external speed bump permitted as a modification? As I read this,

the answer is no. Other shooters tell me that it is. Please clarify

with an all-inclusive answer. Is it yes or no in SSP?

any trigger with an external mod.

I had a semi-debate on this a while back at SIGForum with some folks who were then on the SIG team. They've since left SIGarms to shoot for another mfg, but the debate centered on using an added bump to either a beretta or SIG trigger.

All my emails to idpa hq went unanswered until now, when I re-submitted the question in light of the request for those with questions on the new rule book.

Now I have a definitive answer, but they are gone....ah well, such is life!
