Doctor
i have 100gr lead bullets i bought from Billy's bulllets, coated with moly 3.6 gr of power pistol will be my starting load. Do lead bullets require different loads than jacketed projectiles? are minimum and maximul loads different than other 100gr projectiles?
superdude
Lead and jacketed bullets do often have different load data. They usually won't reach the same velocity with the same charge weight, the lead bullets (of the same weight) being faster. The moly coated tend to run a little slower than their non-molly coated sibling.
CZinZA
Lead seals the barrel better on its way through, so (for the same load) will give higher pressures and velocities than plated or jacketed. If you only have data for plated or jacketed, then come down by a bit when starting, to be safe

DougCarden
Your load data from lead to FMJ with the same everything is around .02 grains less for Lead......almost all the time.....but chrono and check before loading a metric butt load of them..... Hi-Power Jack
from lead to FMJ is around .02 grains less for Lead I'm pretty sure Doug meant 0.2 grains less for lead.
