alma
Does anyone have guidance on fitting a CZ slide to a frame? I am having difficulty with the rails on the slide after it has been refinished. I worked it to the point where I can get it on and off but it is still a bit too tight to run.
Czhase
I use a polishing compound on the rails and work the slide back and forth in the frame until it's smooth.
Quack
JB Bore paste should do it. You could even use toothpaste. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
kneelingatlas
Ah, just shoot it that'll knock the rough edges off OK, seriously I like the toothpaste idea
Quack
If all else fails, it'll be minty fresh. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk

alma
Thanks for the advice. Just got back from the range and it's running perfectly. Also minimal tarter buildup now.
meatsauce
I have no experience fitting slides. I do understand using a polishing compound. What does toothpaste do though?
CZinZA
Toothpaste contains very fine abrasive particles, usually of kaolin. If it's gentle enough for teeth it must be good for slides [emoji1]
Quack
It has to be actual toothpaste and not gel.
