I use them for my builds. They've always done a good job, but I do send them completely prepped for coating (media blasted, etc) so I can't comment on that aspect.

Here's one that was coated and then cut through into the stainless slide & barrel.

Do you build extra tolerance into the gun for coating? How thick is it?

good question. I'm about done with my build and I am planning to drop it off at H&M, since they are not too far from me.

It's great stuff and tough, it does not add an appreciable amount of material. The one thing I would caution people about is don't expect it to be like a beautiful Colt blue job. It is more like parkarizing in that it sucks up oil and looks great when it has oil on it, when dry it looks a little grey and not as attractive. HM does a great job.
