? 38 sc and plated bullets

Been shooting 124 MG's for 3 years or so now.

Never tried plated in 38 SC at major PF, last time I shot plated was about 5 years ago out of 9mm and 45 acp and couldn't get them to group changed crimp etc no good in my book

BUT

figure you should look at things again ever few years

What's the thought on extreme and other plated bullets in 38 SC at major velocity. been using 7625 and Auto Comp.

There are some reports of people being happy with alternative bullets (coated, I believe).

You'll probably get some responses here soon with pros on alternatives.

But, I'm sticking with MG's.

Get some samples and give it a try. I knew guys who were running plated bullets in their 38 open guns when the power factor was 175. Specifically West Coast, which was the predecessor to X-treme.
