deerassassin22
Okay So some good news I got my SS Gun in a STI USPSA Edition SS 40cal. This think shoots like a dream in 40cal with 200grn BBI Bullets. Went out a shot it today my par times are relatively close to my open times according to my notes. I do have magazines to carry though So I have to work on reloading form the small of my back LOL sucks to be skinny sometimes less belt space LOL. So my SS Rig is 6 Safariland 773's and Safariland Kydex Holster, CR Speed Belt, running Wilson Combat 47nx Mags lock slide back no problems and run 0 issues with the first 300rnds today. Also locked in my spot for South Carolina Sections shooting on Squad

Chris iliff
That's too bad your Open gun doesn't run. Did you buy it new or used? I would think the smith would fix it for you. I hate when open shooters switch or give up because of equipment issues. Open guns can be no more difficult than any other gun. I've shot Open almost exclusively for 10 years and never experienced any problems except for normal wear and tear and parts breakage. Gan's built mine and it's a nine and runs like a top. Recently a local smith put a new slide on it and it still runs like a top. Good luck and hopefully I'll shoot with you someday,.......in OPEN! I bought a used AKAI Shogun and it ran like a champ till the slide cracked. I sent it back to get worked on and the 500.00 I spent to get it fixed was a shaddy deal that was just to cut the slide and a new slide not even finished. When I got it back it wasn't fitted the receiver wasn't flush with the slide firing pin stop was hanging over and they was even wear on the comp from fitting, and the aftec wasn't blended correctly, So I decided I was going to sell it a fund another gun and go with a new smith. deerassassin22
First match with my new gun although it was IDPA still did pretty good. I haven't shot that game in over a year. I mean IDPA . The new rules are kinda goofy when it comes to reloading on the move and such.
